If you have not imported your license for your new SA1000, SA3000, or SA5000, before upgrading to 5.3R1, please import your license. The license you have been provided will work with the OS that your new IVE was shipped with. After importing the license, you may then upgrade to 5.3R1. After the upgrade, the license will get converted to a 5.x license.
We recommend that users of the IVE/SA products do not upgrade to IE7 until the appropriate release is made available and is installed on your device. Through the IVE/SA Admin UI, there is an option for a "Personalized Greeting" similar to "Message of the day" that can be used to provide users special instructions (e.g. consult with your IVE Administrator before upgrading to IE7). This is under Roles>General>UI Options. "Personalized greeting" is the section in the page where this is configured. Microsoft offers a tool that will prevent the auto update of Windows machines to IE7. Please see Microsoft's web page for more details.
